Two former employees seek $15 million in a lawsuit against Justin Sun, Founder and CEO of TRON. Richard Hall and Lukasz Juraszek faced workplace mistreatment, discrimination, and irrational suffering.
Back in October last year, Richard Hall and Lukasz Juraszek, the ex-employers of BitTorrent, filed a lawsuit against the workplace mistreatment against Justin Sun, the 29-years old founder and CEO of TRON. The 70-page document summarized how they were asked to leave the organization when they met the workplace aversion.
The lawsuit was filed against Justin Sun, CEO of TRON and Cong Li, the Lead Engineer, TRON and BitTorrent. According to the lawsuit, Sun forced Hall for a quick and faster BitTorrent release. Sun reportedly used his powers to force Hall for the release with a few derogatory exclamations.
It was also stated that Sun slapped Li and there were no disciplinary actions taken. Hall even tried attracting the attention of Sun and Li towards the risks like ethical issues, unclear third party copyrights, and child pornography, but major attention was not given on these issues.
With this, the lawsuit made a demand of $15 million in damages and government action against claims of labor law violations, on grounds of wrongful termination, discrimination, emotional distress, and hostile work conditions.
According to a statement from a spokesperson, Sun and Li said that,
“TRON is not able to speak on the details of pending litigation, but what we can tell you is that our customers, employees and the TRON community are extremely important to us.â€
The lawsuit and the complaints that were dubbed to the California employment board said that Hall and Juraszek never faired poorly in their job. Juraszek even said that he was promoted at a higher salary prior to the conflicts that happened. They also claimed that two new mainland Chinese hires came in to replace them and other domestic employees that were working previously at BitTorrent.
The 70-page document also stated the conversation that happened between Hall and Li on emails. In the conversation, Li said to Hall,
“If you go tighter with me, I will go tighter with you, things will end badly for you. I cannot protect you.â€
Moreover, Juraszek also claimed that some unknown users logged in under his work Computer ID and deleted all the email conversations that had exchanged between Li and him. Hall and Juraszek are now waiting to get a faster decision on the claims they have submitted to the court authorities with this 70-page document.
