The Winklevoss twins are in the news again after they are reported to have teamed up with versatile producer and filmmaker, Greg Silverman to debut a new movie which is an adaptation of the Bitcoin billionaires book.
Winklevoss twins to star in Bitcoin billionaires adaptation movie
Bitcoin billionaires is a fiction book written by award-winning writer, Ben Mezrich, and the adaptation will see Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss star in it. The Bitcoin billionaires book drove the adoption of Bitcoin to great heights when it was released with the majority of the readers now into Bitcoin.
Winklevoss twins set to debut in movie
The Winklevoss twins began their foray into the Bitcoin market after their lawsuit against Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook as they battled for ownership rights saying they brought up the idea. They soon went into the venture capital investment business but could not find the needed breakthrough, so they struggled for acceptance after the lawsuit. Luck was, however, going to shine their way as the twins discovered the cryptocurrency world after they went to Ibiza and their story had a change. They soon became the first Bitcoin billionaires around the world after risking everything that ever mattered to them.
Talking about the movie, Silverman said;
"I have known Cameron and Tyler for years. Last summer my son, Caleb, was fortunate enough to intern at Winklevoss Capital and the twins shared an early copy of Bitcoin Billionaires with him. Caleb and I traded the book back and forth on a summer trip, devouring it in a couple of days. Upon finishing it, it was clear to both of us that Cameron and Tyler’s remarkable redemption story, coupled with Ben’s masterful writing, would lend itself to a one of a kind movie"
Mezrich, a fellow producer of the movie said;
"Whether you are a longtime HODLer or have just arrived, we think you will enjoy the colorful, frontier days of the cryptocurrency revolution that Ben Mezrich has deftly captured in Bitcoin Billionaires. We look forward to sharing this story and bringing the early days of this revolution to theaters in partnership with Stampede Ventures.â€
Entertainment drives crypto adoption
Entertainment is now a new form of spreading the adoption of crypto across the globe after the movie received massive positive praise because of the way it portrays Bitcoin as a good investment. With major entertainment outfit choosing to accept crypto during the lockdown imposed across the world, many of their customers had no choice but to start up a digital asset wallet. Statistics show that about 56% of entertainment firms decided to take to crypto during this lockdown period with the new development expected to be the norm even after the lockdown is relaxed.
Talking about entertainment in the form of education, Jay Shetty, a YouTuber, and an influencer previously said;
“I had met rich people, I had met famous people, but I don’t think I had ever met someone happy. The monk, to me, seemed happy and joyful. He looked like he had a meaningful life.â€
His life transformed after the talk and Shetty now organizes entertainment shows to imbibe education amongst a million people.
