Blockchain technology and the crypto industry are certainly new and offer several opportunities to everyone irrespective of gender but is it only a misconception that the diversity issue exists in this industry as well!
Well, although Bitcoin has been in existence for over 10 years and has been breaking new records, we haven't yet witnessed equal percentages or anything near to it when it comes to women’s involvement. In comparison with other existing industries, blockchain is no different - the state of diversity and Inclusion exists in this space too. This might lead for this industry to have biased and inferior blockchain and crypto products, as rightly pointed out by Susan Joseph, head of non-profit organization Diversity in Blockchain (DiB).
While all of us may have different opinions, let’s find out the industry expert’s view on diversity and inclusion on this women’s day 2021.
On 8th March 2021, Bit2Buzz and Coinpedia are hosting an online crypto-blockchain event with prominent personalities of the crypto and blockchain ecosystem as speakers. Since the event is scheduled on women’s day, you may presume it is for women alone, rather, we focused on maintaining diversity in opinions, keynotes, and panel discussions. Everyone can join the event, it’s free and online. Here’s the registration link - https://bit.ly/3dK8SHv
